Good news! In December 2019 Citrix realeased a new version of its “Workspace” app. This version is now compatible with Fedora 31. Here is how to install it:

Go to this URL to download the Citrix Workspace app 1912 for Linux:
https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/linux/workspace-app-for-linux-latest.html

In “Available Downloads” choose “RedHat Full Package” and download the RPM-File.

Install

Install the RPM file with this command:

$ sudo dnf install Downloads/ICAClient-rhel-19.12.0.19-0.x86_64.rpm

Use

You can now find the “Citrix Workspace” app in your Desktop’s application list.

Install additional ca certificates

You may run into an error message that the workspace app cannot connect to your server because it does not trust to SSL certificate. In this case you need to install and activate the corresponding ca certificate.

Here is an example how to install comodo’s certificate:

First download the comodorsaaddtrustca.crt from https://support.comodo.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/966/108/intermediate-1-sha-2-comodo-rsa-certification-authority

Then copy the certificate into the Workspace app’s certificate folder:

$ sudo cp Downloads/comodorsaaddtrustca.crt /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts/

Finally run this command to read an enable the certificates:

$ sudo /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/util/ctx_rehash
